Artist Statement

Using predominantly recycled materials I create bespoke garments, couture jewellery and artwork in mixed media textiles. I like to let my work take its form through the creative process, utilizing features from the original garment to influence the design of the new creation.

Historical costume also plays a huge part in the inspiration for my work, whether it be the cut of a jacket, shape of a bustle or intricate lace embroidery. I like to re-work old techniques and styles into contemporary textile pieces that invoke memory yet embrace change.
